After falling off the bandwagon again, and gaining back the 20 pounds I’d recently lost plus 10 more over the holidays, I decided something needed to change.
Obviously, Weight Watchers has worked for me in the past, and I was excited to hear about their new changes to the program. So I’m back on Weight Watchers, but I’ve also added something to that. There is a wonderful blog I read by Lysa TerKeurst, who also happens to be a great Christian author. When she mentioned she was writing a book about food issues, I was really curious. I purchased her book, Made to Crave and have been reading it the past couple weeks.
I’m really enjoying this book because it’s not just another “diet book.” It’s really about getting to the core of this struggle with food and weight and our need to rely on God. So far, I’ve lost 11 pounds in two weeks, but I think my real accomplishments have been resisting foods that aren’t so good for me.

It’s so great to see a blog post from you! I’m so happy that you’ve found something that’s helping you through your struggle. We all struggle with something, and one of the best feelings in the world is the one that you get when you find a solution to your problems, something that really and truly works. Congratulations on all of the progress that you’ve already made! I’m so happy for you!
What a cool book — I love that there is Christian perspective out there on food. Hope school is going amazing! Has your sissy had that sweet baby boy?
Hey Jenn! I went back to WW too – I’ve lost 6 pounds in six weeks, but I’ll take it – hope you are doing well!
I’ve put most of the points on my recipe page – check it out when you get a chance! :D
Just checking in Jenn – I am just going back to WW today after not going for three weeks when my husband was sick in the hospital – fingers crossed I didn’t gain the 5.6 I lost!
Have a great weekend Jenn!
