I was planning to go running this morning, so I just had a spoonful of peanut butter before I left the house. And guess what– I jogged 3.1 miles! Now I realize that when you put that next to the people who are training for marathons and running 20+ miles, a 5K doesn’t seem like much. But you know what? This isn’t about comparing myself to others, this is about improving myself. So for a girl like me, who couldn’t even run 1 whole mile back in her middle school gym class, running 3.1 miles in just under an hour is a huge accomplishment. To further put this into context, when I started, I could only go 2 miles in an hour, and today I ran 3.1 miles in 58 minutes.
Breakfast: So after I did finished my run, it was 11 (I didn’t leave the house ’til almost 10), so I decided to combine breakfast and lunch, and plan for an afternoon snack. For my brunch, I made myself a breakfast wrap. This was such an awesome wrap and kept me full ’til snack time.
Snack: Around 3, I made myself a big bowl of fruit. I had watermelon, strawberries, grapes, and a banana. I also added a tbs. of peanut butter to go with the banana. So yummy!
Bye guys, see you later tonight!
