I’m posting yesterday’s food today because I was way too tired last night.
It all started Friday night, when I could not sleep. I hate that feeling, it’s so very frustrating! So I ended up getting about 4 hours of not very good sleep. Then when my alarm went off for my 4-mile run, I woke up unrefreshed, and got ready to run. I got about 2 miles when it started to sprinkle. I was about half a mile from the house, so I ran the rest of the way as the rain got harder. I really didn’t mind the rain, except for the fact that I had my phone with me, and I didn’t want it to get wet. Since I only got a 2.4-mile run in yesterday, I’m going to change my 3-mile run this week to a 4-mile. Let’s hope it doesn’t get rained out!
So when I got back, I really wanted a big warm brunch. I scrambled an egg with 1 oz. turkey bacon, some onion, and 1/4 c. light feta cheese, and a banana on the side.
For some reason, my brunch really didn’t keep me full very long like it usually does. Luckily I brought along this Luna bar. It was surprisingly really delicious. [We need to get some more of these, Mom ;)]
Morgan got home today from school in NYC, and she and her mom invited me over for dinner. Her parents are from Jamaica, and her mom is a really good cook, so I was excited for dinner. I was not disappointed. This had beef and beans and dumplings that we put over rice. It was delicious. I may have had too much, but it’s not everyday I get to eat Jamaican food, so I don’t feel too badly. I also had a huge bowl of watermelon and grapes that were so sweet and amazing.
Dessert wass a piece of cake (I ate the frosting off of it) and some butter cream ice cream (I ate about 1 and a 1/2 scoops). I had never tried butter cream ice cream, and I really liked it- it tasted just like butter cream frosting to me.
