I was so happy to get some much needed sleep last night! Poor Morgan probably thought I was being an old lady when I told her I should head home at 10:00, but I’m pretty sure I was asleep by 10:30! I woke up about 7:30, and did my normal morning routine of brushing my teeth and all, but I also took my multivitamin this morning since I had forgotten last night. Well, this was not a very good idea, and it really upset my stomach. Please remind me never to take a multivitamin in the morning again! So I probably didn’t eat any breakfast until about 10:30, when I had a toasted mini bagel with spray butter.
Some plates are on sale at Target for $1.50. Yes, I realize that getting a child’s plate makes me silly, even a bit strange, but I think it’s cute! And if getting a fun little kid’s plate helps make eating nutritiously and eating the right portions more fun for me, I don’t see any harm in it ;)
Moving right along…by lunchtime I was definitely over my tummy ache, and ate a huge salad packed full of different tastes.
This has 2 oz. tilapia, .5 oz. pesto, 1 oz. creamy goat cheese, cucumber, onion, spinach, carrot, and butter lettuce. Every bite had a different flavor, which made it fun to eat.
Here’s the whole lunch together, which was the salad, with some sweet potato fries and watermelon on the side.
These cookies were also on sale at Target yesterday, so I decided to try it. They were really good and satisfying for only 100 calories.
I think this post from my sister got the idea of making a pizza in my head, and I was excited to see my mom got some new wraps that were perfect for pizza-making. I added 1/4 c. pizza sauce, 1/4 c. feta cheese, 1 oz. turkey bacon, and a few spinach leaves to the tortilla, and baked it at 375* F for about 10 minutes. It was just what I had imagined! The only thing I would have done differently is added the spinach before the meat so I could have had more than 4 leaves, but it was good nonetheless.
Here’s the whole meal with some bbq cape cod chips on the side (1 oz.) and a big glass of water, of course.
Mom and I did about a 15 minute walk today. It’s my rest day, so I wasn’t real worried about it, but it did feel good to get active, even for a short period of time.
How good do these cinnamon rolls look?! They were made using a recipe from the new Hungry Girl book. I wholeheartedly recommend this book if you like to try new low cal/ low fat recipes (or you should at least sign up for her newsletter, if you don’t want to spend the money!). These only have 126 calories each, so I had to have two, of course!
