Last night after I got home, I started to notice that my left ankle was starting to hurt (quick background: I sprained my ankle last October). I figured if I soaked it in a warm bath and got some rest, it would be better in the morning, but it just got worse. This morning I woke up and it was throbbing so I called up the doctor and made an appointment. I had an x-ray done, and they couldn’t find anything wrong, except that it was obviously very swollen and tight. My doctor basically just said it was my ankle’s “way of telling me I’m doing too much.” When I heard those words, my heart just sunk. I can take it if someone tells me they don’t believe I can do this. I’ll just prove them wrong. But my own body? I can’t exactly do much about that. So, I’ll just wrap it and ice it and hopefully exercising will be easier on my body once I lose more weight. I’m trying so hard not to let this discourage me.
On a happier note, here is one of the pictures I found on my Grandma’s computer this weekend.
Was that really 4.5 years ago?! Now I feel old.
For breakfast, I had 1/4 c. yellow grits with 1 Laughing Cow Light Creamy Swiss wedge and 1 oz. turkey bacon mixed in.
I used this recipe to make a black bean burger, but changed up a few things. Since we didn’t have salsa, I added a tbs. ketchup and a tsp. mustard. It turned out really well, but I can’t wait to try it with salsa some time!
I put the burger on a lightly toasted Arnold Sandwich Thin, and a wedge of LC cheese. I also had some watermelon on the side. This was such a good meal; I loved it!
Dinner tonight consisted of 3 oz. pork loin, with some sweet potato fries.
After doing about 30 minutes of pilates, I had some light ice cream and a blueberry muffin. Perfect way to end the day!
