On Wednesday, Morgan and I spent most of the day baking a cake for my sister’s birthday. She mentioned she wanted a cookies ‘n’ cream cake, so my mom found this recipe for us to follow.
There were a lot of ingredients.
The cake batter.
In the oven.
The cookies ‘n’ cream filling.
We made mini cupcakes to test it out ;) It just wouldn’t be right to serve a cake if we have no idea what it tastes like!
Later that night, we had a girls night out at a wine tasting. I loved the color of this one. Unfortunately, since I’m not yet 21 (only about 4 months to go!), I spent the night drinking this…
Plain, boring water. Actually, I did drink a glass and a 1/2 of sweet tea, and realized that I make a very bad Southerner. The real sugar in the sweet tea was just a bit too much for me, and left me feeling not-so-great. What a wimp I am!
The food was delicious! This was the first croissant sandwich I’ve had in a very long time, and it was truly amazingly flaky and buttery. [I’m not realizing that this post is really not suitable for those who are on strict diets haha!]
Emily obviously enjoyed her wine! I had a great time with her and Mom and all the girls who attended!!!
P.S. I’ll be back later to post pictures of Emily’s early birthday celebration, along with pictures of the cake.
