I decided to eat breakfast in the room Thursday morning. I had a vanilla chip granola bar. I had never tried these before, but I really loved it.
Then I headed down to the beach and made this little sand heart with sea shells and glass. The lady who runs this stand must make a ton of money doing these at the resort!!!
After enjoying some more beach time, I had a couple small BTT (bacon-turkey-tomato) sandwiches with some salad and raw veggies.
Then headed back to the pool.
Love the view from our room. I thought it was neat that every single room at the hotel had a balcony with a view of the bay.
See all those trees in the middle? Those are growing in a mangrove (which I think is secretly just a fancy name for a swamp!). It’s also where all the giant lizards live.
We decided that for our last night we should eat at a restaurant at the resort.
Before that, I got a few appetizers to tide me over for our late dinner.
We passed this party on the beach that looked like so much fun.
Then it was time for dinner. As you surely tell, I did not do my hair the entire vacation ;)
They brought each of us two mini loaves of bread. I only ate one.
I got the stuffed crispy chicken. I couldn’t really taste the cheese, but the chicken was perfectly cooked. The veggies were also really nice and that banana curry rice was so special and I savored every bite.
We skipped dessert, but they brought us out these little miniature treats. It tasted like some kind of coffee flavored ice cream with whipped cream on a vanilla wafer. Although I’m sure it has some fancy schmancy name ;)
Side note: This dress may have cut my circulation off a bit (just kidding… kind of), but a year ago it wouldn’t even zip up, and my goal was to be able to wear it on the trip. It may have been tight, but it fit, and I was just so happy to have met that goal!
One more day to go…
