Here’s a recap of Tuesday and Wednesday.
I started out the day getting ready to head to my college to meet one of my new room mates. I had a tbs. PB on a mini bagel.
When I got up there, we went out to lunch at a cute little sandwich shop. I got a chicken sandwich with fruit and tomato soup. I only ate half of the sandwich. I didn’t get a picture, because I didn’t want my room mate to know how weird I really am ;)
Then we headed back to the apartment so I could check things out. She already lives in the apartment, so there are a few things there, but not much.
The pantry has no shelves for food. And it’s really narrow. So sad.
All this is in my tiny room. I think I’ll put this drawer under the bed with the other one.
The bed is next to the window (although I could move it, I think this is the best option).
A little bedside table and a fairly nice desk and chair.
The closet is like half the size of the whole room! At least that means lots of storage space.
I’ll share this bathroom with one other girl.
There’s a nice community room.
The couch is so ugly it’s kind of funny.
I’m going to really enjoy having a kitchen, though!
Anyone have any thoughts on how to decorate? I’m not the most creative in the world.
The weather was gorgeous and HOT!
I even missed seeing the cadets doing their drills. Getting excited to go back up there soon!
I’m kind of drawing a blank as to what we had for dinner. Hmm… Alzheimer’s?
On Wednesday, I started out with some LC cheese yellow grits.
For lunch, I had a crack wrap and some butter lettuce with feta cheese salad.
I ate dinner at church with my mom’s choir. It’s their first week back after summer vacation, so they had a dinner to celebrate. [Side note: Please remind me when I get older to not ask college students “So, when do you go back to college?” Seriously, I must have gotten asked that by everyone in the room. I’ve gotta come up with some more original material!]
Dad made 50 pounds (exaggerating) of pasta, chicken, and broccoli salad. Loved it!
I also had one of these scrumptious rolls.
And lots of fruit!
I also tried one of these raw figs. I liked the flavor, but the texture was a little gross to me.
And I shared a cookie with my Dad.
Later that night, I had some of these grapes that needed to be eaten.
And tried out this new tea that I picked up at the Super H Mart.
Love the little message.
This tea smelled and tasted heavenly (although it may actually have smelled better than it tasted).
Whew, that took a long time!! Be sure to check back for a post about a new food I tried making for lunch today!
