Yes, I am now officially done with Level 1 of the Shred! Unfortunately, I wasn’t really into it tonight. I think this was the hardest day so far, not physically, but mentally. The entire time I kept thinking “I don’t wanna do this,” but I promised myself a nice smoothie at the end of it, and that kept me going.
I started out the day with a nice bowl of comforting yellow grits with LC cheese.
At noon, my Dad and I headed to Trader Joe’s. Morgan decided she was too busy to come. You remember how I said I probably wouldn’t get much besides the Almond Butter? Well… I may have picked up a little more than that. Let’s just say it was a very productive trip, and I think I’ve got meals at college covered for a while. I think all I need now are fruits and veggies, but I’ll just those once I get up there.
Speaking of things from TJ’s, I picked up this Ginger Ale there.
I really loved the flavor. It had a lot more flavor than the Canada Dry brand.
I also got some whole wheat pitas from TJ’s, and put the Chick-fil-A chicken patty in it.
I got a few comments that I should get TJ’s pizza dough. I also got some mozzarella and TJ’s pizza sauce. I didn’t take a picture of them, but I also used 3 yellow squash, half an onion, and some cubed chicken.
The directions didn’t say to, but I precooked the dough for 6 minutes before adding the toppings. First, I added the sauce, then the yellow squash, some spinach, mozz, the chicken and onion, and finally some spices. I cooked it for about 8 more minutes, and it came out like this…
Look at that beautiful crust!
The crust was my favorite part, and overall the pizza was just so very good!
We split the pizza between the three of us, so we each had one big piece and one little piece (Dad didn’t cut it very evenly haha).
After a little digestion, I did the Shred. Y’all already know how that went ;)
Then came smoothie time…
I was actually trying out a smoothie maker we got on sale at Target yesterday. It worked really well! I’ll try it out a couple more times before I review it for y’all, but so far I’m really happy with it!
Have a great night, everyone!
