That’s right: I completed day 1 of level 2 today! More on that later.
This morning I was *gasp* in the mood for a sweet breakfast. It may have had something to do with the fact that I have been wanting to try this:
Trader Joe’s Just the Clusters Vanilla Almond Granola.
I had half a serving of the granola, which is 1/3 cup, and a Strawberry Chobani. The granola was heavenly. Maybe it’s just the fact that it’s been like a month since I had granola, but I was reminded this morning why I love it so much.
My dad gets $8.50 worth of food free once a month at Steak n’ Shake with this card he won, so he took me there for lunch.
I started out with a salad that had some brownish lettuce. Yuck. I ate around the brown pieces, though, and it was okay.
I ordered the turkey club sandwich.
It was pretty good. Not the best club sandwich I’ve ever had, but it was very filling, and I only ate half.
After lunch, I we went to Target and I got a clothes hamper and a storage container for my food. All I have packed so far is my food and cooking supplies. I’ll finish the rest tomorrow, and then I move in Saturday morning.
When I got back home, I decided to get the Shred over with, since I knew I’d be getting home late.
Level 2 was definitely much harder, but not as hard as I’d expected. There was one move that I really struggled with (the one where you have to balance on one foot and kick the other leg—can’t remember the name). Of course, I had to do the modified version of pretty much every move that had a modified version, but at least I did it! By the end, I was sweating like bullets.
Dinner was surprisingly yummy. When dad said he was making these pork loins, I was a bit skeptical, but they turned out really flavorful and tender. We also had roasted potatoes with herbs and a yellow squash casserole. Everything was really good and I wanted to get seconds of everything, but somehow restrained myself.
I ended the meal with a juicy piece of cantaloupe.
After dinner, Morgan and I went to see Julie & Julia. This movie was so sweet. Both of the couples were just so in love and it had me teary-eyed in some parts, and laughing in other, and sometimes it just made me smile. Such a lovely movie; I think it might be on my Christmas wish list.
The movie’s one flaw was that it made me hungry (or maybe they were wanting to have that effect on people?). When I got home, I had a fudge brownie muffin with some ice cream. There couldn’t have been a better way to end the day.
It’s LATE now, so I’d better get going. Have a fabulous Friday, everyone!
