I got through another day of meatless week! Only two days left. I told my dad today that I wish I hadn’t started the challenge on a Sunday, because that means it ends on a Sunday, and that means Chick-fil-A can’t be my first meal :( He said I could buy it on Saturday and save it for Sunday… I may do that haha!
This morning, I slept in and didn’t want a filling breakfast because I knew my dad would be here soon to take me to lunch.
I decided on a banana. It held me over ‘til lunch perfectly.
Once my dad got here, we had the agonizing task of deciding where to eat. It was even harder today since I’m not eating meat. I’d gotten a really good black bean burger at a restaurant on the square before, so I suggested that. I didn’t really want the fries, but the other choices didn’t sound good, either (onion rings or coleslaw). I ate the whole burger, which was even better than I’d remembered, and about 1/3 of the fries (with ketchup, of course!).
Remember this tissue paper?
Well, after my dad left, I had some down time so I made several of these. I’ll try to take some pictures of them tomorrow, but my room has horrible lighting for pictures at night.
Around 6, I was really getting hungry, but just couldn’t decide what I wanted to make.
After that, I did some Spanish homework (yes, I had homework assigned on the first day of class), and listened to the rain. It’s been raining basically since 6. I don’t get it—it barely rained all Summer, and now that school has started it’s been raining every day. Weird.
I figured tonight was a good time to try out this POM Wonderful Pomegranate juice I was sent.
The idea behind this juice is that it helps keep you healthy by giving you a healthy dose of antioxidants. Now I’ve got to admit that I am not real big on juice. Never have been. So going into this, I really had my doubts. However, I really liked the flavor of this. It was really sweet, but not a fake sweet. It tasted very natural and had a good tang to it.
The downside is that it does have 150 calories for this 8 oz. bottle. I actually only drank half of it tonight, and am planning to mix the rest with ginger ale some time soon. I’m looking forward to that! I can’t wait to try the other flavors they sent.
