I’m gonna be honest with you guys, I didn’t have the best start to my day. I won’t go into the details because it would take too long, but basically I was the last person in my Education class to present this morning (not by choice), and my professor cut me off halfway through due to time constraints. It wasn’t anyone’s fault, just bad luck, but still. I feel kind of like I need some cheese with my whine, but it just put me in a bad mood. Something else happened after that, but I think I’ve done enough complaining for one post. I don’t want to sound depressing and turn people off of reading, especially since I really am a happy person most of the time, and I really am grateful to even have the opportunity to go attend college.
After all that, I came back and heated up the last of the leftover quinoa.
Next I went to Spanish, and it was actually a pretty good class. [Random sidebar: I just realized I’ve been gritting my teeth all day. Stress.]
After class, I cleaned up the apartment a little, got my things together, and started the drive home. I made it home just in time for supper!
Fresh basil pesto. My favorite thing! I had ww pasta and shrimp with pesto drizzled on top. Total yum!
We’ve been told over and over to “get 8 hours of sleep every night.” Usually when I hear this, I just roll my eyes, but I’m starting to realize just how important this simple piece of advice is. I notice a huge difference when I don’t get enough sleep. I feel like I’m in a fog all day, and that’s just not a fun way to live. It’s hard being a college student and living with 2 other girls my age to do what I know is best for me, which is to get in bed early enough to get in 8 hours. I just need to remind myself of this from time to time. Do you all try to get your 8 hours of sleep in nightly?
