In England, instead of saying they got a shot, they say they got a jab. I thought that was kind of funny. So today, I got the flu jab, which wasn’t much fun. According to my Mom, this is the first flu vaccine I’ve had my whole life. Obviously, my family isn’t much for doctors.
Anyway, the good part was that I got some free vitamins and free hand sanitizer from the infirmary, which really excited me for some reason. I guess when you’ve been locked out of your apartment for over half an hour when you’re hungry and irritated, getting free anything can brighten your day right up!
I’ve got to get a Spanish assignment finished before I get to bed, so I’m going to speed through lunch and dinner.
I’ve been saving these Chile Lime Chicken Burgers from Trader Joe’s for the perfect day to try them, and I think today fit the bill.
I was rushed since I’d lost so much time from waiting outside the office for the nice office lady to come back from her lunch break. Anyway, this burger was very tasty. I think it would be good cubed in a taco salad or something.
My room mate was kind enough to go with me to get the flu shot (yes, I’m almost 21 and still needed some moral support), and afterward we went to the grocery store. I picked up a Kashi pizza. I wanted to try the one my sister had the other day, but didn’t see it.
This was just the plainest one I saw, but it was good. I loved the crispness of the thin crust.
I’m not really proud of the way I ate today. I didn’t have any fresh veggies and only had some fruit in my breakfast. I think I did really well with it yesterday, and need to work on being more consistent about it. Gotta get that fiber in!
I heard from my parents that I’ve gotten some yummy food goodies this week in the mail. I’m looking forward to trying them out, and you may want to keep an eye out for a giveaway coming up early next week!
