Today has been fairly busy with classes, a trip to the grocery store, meal planning, and school work.
For breakfast, I had my sample Banana Nut Vitatop from Vitalicious. I’ll admit I’m not a fan of nuts in muffins, so I actually picked those out, but I really liked this flavor other than that. So far, the I’m liking the more “breakfasty” flavors of Vitatops, rather than the chocolatey flavors.
My lunch was a little strange because I’m trying to get rid of leftovers. I opened a can of 98% fat free cream of chicken soup, added some leftover green beans and pinto beans. Not too strange so far, right? Then I added the ravioli from last week. I worked well for me, though. Sort of like dumplings, just in a different shape.
So far, I was doing pretty well. Then dinner time came, and for some reason I had the idea to make biscuits. Now biscuits aren’t so bad if you can stop at one, like I have in the picture. However, I didn’t stop until I had eaten 3 :( On the side, I had an egg with some basil spice.
Since I went overboard with dinner, I had a banana for “dessert.”
I have been losing weight sloooowwwwwly. I know this is not necessarily a bad thing (at least I’m not gaining, right?), but I know that I could be doing so much better than I am. Honestly, sometimes I write on here and feel like such a fake. Jenn Eats Nutritiously Now? Not always. I try, but I’m still human, and humans make mistakes; humans aren’t perfect.
However, I feel like I really need to get back to the mindset I had when I started this blog. I want this blog to give me motivation and keep me accountable. Well, it’s not going to do that if I don’t post pretty much everything I eat, so that’s what I’m going to get back to. Or at least I’m going to try.
Also, I need to get back to meal planning, and sticking with the plan. I’ve been good about not getting fast food, but there are some convenience foods I turn to when I’m hungry and have no idea what to eat. I’m always making lists and then not taking a second look at them, which is also habit I need to kick!
Do you have a bad habit you are trying to change?
