I was so excited when I was asked if I would like to receive a copy of Cook Yourself Thin Faster. It’s actually my very first cook book, so I was super excited when it came in the mail.
The pictures are really beautiful to look through. I love that they used lots of Anthropologie. Like these glasses (I have one from Morgan in pink).
And this cute little bowl (which I bought with my birthday money from my Mom).
As you can see, I’ve got lots of recipes marked for future use. Last night, I cooked my first recipe from the book: Pasta with Sausage and Cherry Tomatoes (minus the cherry tomatoes!).
I made a couple changes—I used whole wheat rotini instead of whole wheat linguine because I had it on hand, and I left out the cherry tomatoes because…I don’t like them .
It’s not quite as colorful without the tomatoes, so I’d definitely add them back in if I were making it for my family.
What did I think? It was a really easy and quick meal. It probably took me about 30 minutes total?
Want to win a copy? The people from Cook Yourself Thin Faster were also sweet enough to send me an extra copy to give away to one lucky reader. Here are three ways to enter:
- Leave a comment telling me what your favorite cook book is and why.
- Subscribe to my blog and tell me you’ve subscribed in a separate comment.
- Post a link to this post on your blog and tell me about it in a separate comment.
Good luck!

My favorite cookbook is a Better Homes and Gardens cookbook from the early 1940s that was given to me by my MIL. It belonged to her mother, and it has lots of home-y, practical advice about nutrition, homemaking, and entertaining. I think it has since been reprinted, but there have been alterations to the text. Thanks for this giveaway – that looks like a fabulous cookbook!
I subscribed to your posts through Google Reader. Thank you again!
What a fantastic giveaway! You already had me at the Anthropologie. Then I kept reading and now I just want it even more!
Well I don’t have a whole lot of experience with cookbooks, so this is a little tough. I think my favorite right now is Nancie McDermott’s Southern Cakes. I’m ashamed to say that, with this being a blog about healthy eating and all.
Ok, so I was just supposed to answer the question and here I am, still talking. Sorry! I’m done.

My favorite cookbook is one I just got for Christmas–it’s called the Complete Cooking Light cookbook. I still need to do a blog post about it. Have you ever seen the TV show, Cook Yourself Thin? Me and some of my girlfriends used to watch it last semester…not sure if it’s still on.
